Transpersonal Approach to Death and Dying
Services
Death touches every aspect of life. Whether you are grieving the loss of a loved one, facing a life transition, wrestling with mortality, experiencing ecological grief, or seeking deeper meaning in the midst of uncertainty, Sacred Thanatology Coaching offers a compassionate space for exploration, healing, and transformation.
Drawing from transpersonal psychology, thanatology (the study of death, dying, and grief), Jungian depth psychology, contemplative traditions, and spiritual wisdom, I accompany individuals through life's most profound thresholds. Rather than seeking to "fix" grief or eliminate suffering, our work honors grief as a natural, sacred, and transformative process.
Together, we may explore:
Grief following the death of a loved one
Anticipatory grief and caregiving challenges
Life transitions, endings, and identity shifts
Death anxiety and fear of mortality
Religious or spiritual wounds
Ecological grief and climate-related distress
Meaning-making after loss
Dreams, symbols, and the wisdom of the unconscious
Spiritual questions and existential concerns
Cultivating resilience, presence, and self-compassion
My Approach
I believe grief is not a problem to be solved but an experience to be witnessed, honored, and integrated. Grief often arrives as a teacher, inviting us into a deeper relationship with ourselves, others, and the mystery of life.
My approach is holistic and integrative, drawing from:
Transpersonal Psychology
Thanatology and Contemporary Grief Theory
Jungian Depth Psychology
Meditation and Mindfulness Practices
Ignatian Spirituality and Discernment
East-West Wisdom Traditions

A Sacred Space for Transformation
Grief is often described as the price we pay for love. Yet grief can also become a doorway—an invitation into greater compassion, authenticity, and connection with what matters most.
You do not have to walk this path alone.
I would be honored to accompany you as you navigate the sacred terrain of loss, meaning, and transformation.
Schedule a complimentary 30-minute consultation to explore whether Sacred Thanatology Coaching is right for you.
Grief is not limited to the death of a loved one. It emerges wherever there is loss, change, uncertainty, or disruption. Employees, leaders, volunteers, caregivers, healthcare professionals, educators, and nonprofit staff often carry unseen grief that impacts well-being, workplace culture, engagement, and resilience.
My Transpersonal Grief Workshops provide organizations with a compassionate and evidence-informed framework for understanding grief as a natural human experience rather than a problem to be fixed. Through education, reflection, experiential practices, and meaningful dialogue, participants develop greater awareness, empathy, and confidence in supporting themselves and others through loss and transition.
What Makes This Approach Different?
Most grief education focuses primarily on pathology, symptoms, or clinical intervention. A transpersonal approach recognizes that grief is also emotional, psychological, social, spiritual, and existential. It acknowledges that loss can challenge our sense of identity, purpose, meaning, and connection while also opening possibilities for growth, transformation, and deeper engagement with life.
Drawing from thanatology, transpersonal psychology, Jungian depth psychology, contemplative traditions, and contemporary grief theory, these workshops help participants develop a more holistic understanding of grief and its many expressions.

Why This Matters
In a culture that often avoids conversations about grief, organizations have a unique opportunity to foster workplaces and communities where people feel seen, supported, and valued during life's most difficult moments.
When people understand grief more deeply, they communicate more compassionately, lead more effectively, and build healthier, more resilient communities.

A Structured Path Through Grief, Meaning, and Transformation
This six-week coaching journey offers a focused and supportive container for engaging grief, life transitions, and existential questions through a transpersonal lens. Each session builds upon the last, allowing for a deepening exploration of your experience while also integrating reflection, practice, and meaning-making between sessions.
Rather than treating grief as something to resolve quickly, this series honors it as a process that unfolds over time—one that invites patience, attention, and compassionate awareness.
Week 1: Orientation & Your Story of Loss
We begin by creating a grounded and compassionate space to understand what brings you here. This session focuses on your current experience of grief or transition, your personal history with loss, and the themes emerging in your life. Together we begin to name what is present without needing to fix or rush it.
Week 2: Understanding Your Grief Landscape
This session explores the many dimensions of grief—emotional, physical, cognitive, relational, and spiritual. We begin to map how grief is showing up in your life and identify patterns, needs, and inner resources already present within your experience.
Week 3: Meaning, Identity, and Life Transitions
Grief often reshapes identity and purpose. This session invites exploration of meaning-making, including how your sense of self, beliefs, and direction in life may be shifting. We gently engage questions of identity, belonging, and becoming.
Week 4: The Inner World – Dreams, Symbols, and the Unconscious
Drawing from Jungian and transpersonal approaches, we explore the symbolic and imaginal dimensions of grief. This may include dreams, imagery, memories, or inner experiences that carry deeper emotional or spiritual significance.
Week 5: Integration, Ritual, and Compassionate Practice
This session focuses on integration—how to live alongside grief in a sustainable and embodied way. We may work with mindfulness practices, rituals, or contemplative tools that support ongoing healing and presence in daily life.
Week 6: Integration, Continuity, and Next Steps
We reflect on your journey over the six weeks, naming what has shifted, softened, or clarified. Together we identify ongoing practices, supports, and directions for continued growth beyond the coaching container.
About This Container
Each session is 60–75 minutes and is tailored to your unique experience. Between sessions, you may be offered reflective prompts, journaling invitations, or contemplative practices to support integration.
This is not a linear process, but a guided unfolding—honoring grief as both deeply human and potentially transformative.
